New builds come with a blank slate - and that's both exciting and overwhelming. Most families move in and immediately face a backyard full of dirt, weeds, and zero direction. That's exactly where this one started.
We came in and laid out a clean plan: concrete patio, a stepping stone path through the turf, artificial grass across the main yard area, a gravel border along the fence line, and a couple of fruit trees to give the space some life. Nothing overcomplicated. Just a yard that works.
The artificial turf is what really ties it together. No watering schedules. No mowing on weekends. No muddy patches after rain. It stays green, it looks sharp, and the family can actually use the space without putting in hours of upkeep every month. That's the whole point.
What we love about a job like this is the balance. The concrete gives you structure. The turf gives you softness and color. The gravel border keeps everything contained and clean. And the fruit trees add a little personality - something that grows with the family over time. Every element has a reason for being there.
Low-maintenance doesn't have to feel sterile or boring. Done right, it feels intentional. If you've got a yard that's still unfinished, this kind of setup is worth a serious look.
